Hell’s Kitchen Season 2 Show 8
There are four people left, and suprisingly (or not), backstabbing Sara is one of them. I’ve put forth the concept that she’s a hired actor, though an amateur at that. She doesn’t have the personality or skills to run a restaurant.
Last week, Garrett left. I thought it might have been Virginia. I remember Chef Ramsay’s comment in the first show: she’s wearing makep for godsakes. But she’s held her own for the most part, and tries to be a team player - something Sara doesn’t even know the definition of.
There’s ony Keith left for the guys, and Sara, Heather and Virginia left. I’m guessing Sara or Keith are leaving tonight, and my money’s still on Heather.
Well what a challenge! They each get a catering truck and have to feed hungry construction workers. Heather was smart and went with grilled chicken sandwich and fries. The rest of them went with pretentious food. People don’t always want fancy for lunch. Hearty is more like it.
The verdict: the least liked was Heather’s. I was wrong. The one the liked the most? Virginia. Maybe it had something to her flirting wih everyone. Whatever the case, Heather was bawling afterwards and saying Virginia won because she was telling the construction workers that she’d take them home.
Personally, I think that Ramsay’s getting rid of her next, so he’s treating her a bit beforehand. I can’t imagine he’s favouring Sara, after calling her a cow, during evening service. And Keith’s partly cooked spag (spaghetti lobster) isn’t a hit with three famed restaurateurs. They have mixed opinions about Sara’s scallop appetizer. Heather’s Wellington was a hit, but Virginia’s peas tasted “like carbon from the flame hitting it”.
Basically, Heather is working her ass off, Virginia is having a hard time, Sara keeps getting called a cow by the sweet Chef Ramsay, and Keith is unwilling to help Virginia. The net result is that Chef Ramsay declares Virginia as being no longer safe (which she had been because of winning the earlier construction worker lunch challenge). The glee on the faces of Heather and Keith were not at all surprising.
What is surprising is Virginia’s own declaration that she’s not ready to run a restaurant, that she doesn’t belong there anymore, and that she should be eliminated. Because Heather had the best service, she got to nominate: 1st pick Virginia, 2nd pick Sara.
When Chef Ramsay told V + S to step forward, Virginia did in fact say she didn’t deserve to win. But Ramsay surprised everyone by saying he’d put her in “safe” and that he’s a man of his word. (Which he is, despite being an insulting prick.) If she chose to go, that’s her choice. If she decided to stay, he’d send Sara home. You’d think that it’d be an easy choice, but V actually started crying.
Wow, what an honest girl. “I want to be in the final three because I deserve to be there, not because of the challenge, etc.” But ultimately, she decided to stay and the tears magically disappeared.
Booyah! Sara’s gone. Ding dong the bitch is gone.
