Cinnamon Fruit Smoothie Recipe
Thick, pulpy fruit juices are perfect for making smoothies. Smoothies are essentially the non-Indian equivalent of the East Indian lassi drink. As with lassi, you can use a variety of different bases. Most commercial/ restaurant smoothies use ice. I like to use ice cream. Here’s a very simple version:
In an electric drink mixer or blender, mix equal parts fruit juice with vanilla ice cream or yoghurt, and a sprinkling of cinnamon. Use a thick juice like mango/ papaya, strawberry, guava, etc. Couldn’t be simpler.
