How To Eat A Chile/Chili Pepper - A Top 5 Tips List

A short lesson on eating chile peppers or anything hot:

  1. Don't drink water; this opens up your taste buds, which makes whatever you are eating even hotter.
  2. Do have a piece of white bread or some yogurt or sour cream on hand to dampen the burn.
  3. Don't drink milk with hot sauce. The milk will break down from the chile and get glue-y. (It also happens when you have milk with some meats such as steak.)
  4. Don't eat a raw chile pepper on an empty stomach. You'll hate yourself and regret it severely.
  5. Do add fresh cut tomatoes (cooled in the fridge) and onions to whatever you are eating to add a refreshing contrast to the heat.
